Union Hospital's Clara Fairbanks Center for Women Welcomes Drs. Schmidt and Spears

Terre Haute, IN -- Phyllis Schmidt, M.D., and Lucia Spears, M.D., are providing services at Union Hospital's Clara Fairbanks Center for Women. The Center is the number one mammography provider in the Wabash Valley, performing nearly 12,000 digital mammograms a year.


Dr. Schmidt earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Radiology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Dr. Spears earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed her residency in Radiology at the Naval Hospital Oakland in Oakland, California. She is President of Imaging Answers, LLC, performing locum tenens and consultations for imaging and medical device companies.

Both Spears and Schmidt are Board Certified and were previously the Medical Directors and Radiologists at the Indiana Breast Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Ann Wendecker, D.O., is the Medical Director of the Clara Fairbanks Center for Women. She earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at the Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She is Board Certified in Radiology and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Wendecker has devoted the past 20 years of her career to providing Radiology Services to the Wabash Valley.
