We've invested in the procedures and equipment to provide the most sophisticated diagnosis available including:

  • MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computerized tomography), ultrasound and fluoroscopy to determine the exact location of a tumor;

  • PET (positron emission tomography) scans to focus on the metabolic function of tumors and helps to determine if they are cancerous. PET scans are available on-site at Union Hospital;

  • Fully accredited digital mammography equipment, stereotactic core breast biopsy;

  • Endoscopy and colorectal procedures to detect digestive cancers;

  • Laboratory testing of suspected tumor tissue.
