UHC's center is a certified Pink Ribbon Facility, a distinction awarded only to an elite group of healthcare facilities. Union Hospital and AP&S Form Integrated Health System
Union Hospital and AP&S Clinic are pleased and excited to announce they have partnered to create an integrated health system, Union Health System (UHS).

Union Hospital's Clara Fairbanks Center for Women has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in stereotactic breast biopsy as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The Clara Fairbanks Center, which Union Hospital opened in 1996, provides women of the Wabash Valley with many services including mammography, biopsy, bone density scanning, and a variety of prosthesis and care products for women with cancer. Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana, is one of 10 finalists, nationally, for the Hospital of Choice Award for the Year. This is a follow-up to its earlier award from the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers as Hospital of Choice. That was a quarterly recognition for the year and now winners of the quarters have been pared down to 10 finalists. increased chances of survival. In fact, Union Hospital has the 3rd
lowest death rate from Heart Attack in the state of Indiana and 50th

Union Hospital Clinton Plans Service Changes
Union Hospital Clinton recently announced several changes as part of its continued commitment to meet the health care needs of the community. Therefore, by the end of November 2009, UHC will no longer deliver babies. All staff in that department were offered positions in other nursing departments at the hospital.

(Clinton, IN, June 1) West Central Community Hospital's name officially changes to Union Hospital Clinton June 1. Union Hospital assumed operational responsibility of West Central Community Hospital in 1996. Union Hospital purchased the hospital in 2006.
